Where in the World is Emilie Richards?

I’ve been traveling this week. Here are some photos from my trip so far–heading home soon. Can you tell where I am? Comment with your guess–if you dare. I’m doing this from my iPad, so the photos are not in order of any kind.

These gorgeous birds mate for life.

Three hours by car, three hours by plane, an hour and a half at customs. The fun part of that long line? We made friends and they turned out to be on our trip with us.

Only the most perfect are shipped to the USA.

It’s easy to feel small and insignificant here.

Talk about feeling small and insignificant. This beauty was our cabin view from one of our stops.

The sweetest organic pineapples come directly from the field.

This guy looks so sweet curled against the bark of this tree, but he’s a deadly pit viper. We had the proper respect.

Have you guessed? Let me know in comments. Meantime have a lovely week. I certainly am.

My bananas this week came from Guatemala, so that would be my guess.
Although the red macaws are the national bird of Honduras.

I just showed the pictures to one of my students who is from Honduras. He recognized the pineapple farm. Bless his heart his face lit up! He also knew the mountain. So Honduras it is.

This is a great kid who came to this country on his own to escape gang violence in Honduras. He has been here less than a year and already speaks great English.

What a fabulous success story for this little guy. I hope it is just the beginning of a wonderful life for him.

I had my husband look at these pictures and he says Belize. I myself don’t have a clue. Do you watch Planet Earth? We are watching Planet Earth 2 as I comment. Fascinating!

    Hi Emilie,

I’m late reading this so I’ve read all the comments and have to go with CR.

    How beautiful!
