Sunday Inspiration: Making a Difference

Making a Difference

Charter for Compassion

This is either a frightening message or an exhilarating one. But no matter how it strikes me on any given day, I always know it’s true. We leave a footprint, how large, how small, how welcome, how menacing? It’s up to us.

What impact have you had today? What impact would you like to have? Does this quote have an impact on you?

Thank to the Charter for Compassion and to Jane Goodall.

Emilie, this may be a duplicate. Something happened between here and there with my first attempt; a given on any day with my technical expertise!

Thank you for your impact on my life through your books and inspirational posts. We will never know how many people have been impacted as a result of our own deeds, good and bad. I’m concentrating on the good, this is funny: Yesterday afternoon I received a text from one of my granddaughters, age 32 who lives in Oregon – I am in western NC! She and hubby were shopping for their first king-sized mattress and she wanted my advice on brands and how to tell if it was a good one or not. I did my best, and thinking possibly my daughter suggested she “ask grandmommy,” didn’t take anything away from the smile on my face and the twinge of love in my heart. Who knew!!!

    Hi Emilie,

Every other Saturday, I read to young children at one of the local libraries. I love it and hope I make even a tiny impact on them by encouraging them to read.

My childhood involved reading late into the night, first thing in the morning with the newspaper, all of my parents’ magazines, and Sunday trips to the library. Oh, and then the evening paper.

Thank you your books, and also your posts – for fueling my love of reading.
