Gone Hiking

I’m writing this before I discover what Hurricane Irma has in store for Florida, which is clearly going to be life-changing for many people in my home state–and possibly Proman and me. In the meantime we’re taking a long-planned hiking trip to the Utah parks to celebrate Proman’s recent birthday, and I’m practicing what I preached last week by doing something new and different. Southern Utah is spectacular. We are mesmerized by the scenery.

My thoughts will be with everyone in the hurricane’s path, and my evenings will be spent watching television news–something I couldn’t do this summer.

I hope you’ve stayed dry and safe.

PS: It looks like our house and neighborhood did well after Irma took a wee jog and spared us the worst. I know others were hard hit, and my thoughts are with all of you.

**Southern Exposure may be on hiatus next week. We’ll see what happens.

I know you are a quilter. If your travels take you to St. George, don’t miss the many quilt stores in town. You’ll love them!

Hope you get to see some Wild Mustangs before they are extinct in that state.

So happy your house was spared, and wishing you an awesome vacation. Maybe you’ll get some new ideas for another book????
