Sunday Inspiration: The Journey of Purpose

I love it when I come across something that is so inspirational that it goes right to the heart of what it means to be human. Take a few minutes to watch this video by The Journey of Purpose, and you will not regret it.

There are four participants, all of whom led or lead rich, inspirational lives.

Randy Pausch was a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellow University and the University of Virginia. After he discovered that he had terminal pancreatic cancer he gave a lecture titled, “The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” that has been seen by millions of people on YouTube.

Steve Jobs was the amazing CEO of Apple Computers when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Towards the end of his life he gave a commencement speech at Stanford University that also became viral on the web and has given hope and purpose to many.

Will Smith is an accomplished and well-loved actor who has starred in many films, including the Men In Black series.

Stuart Scott was an outstanding sportscaster for ESPN who died last month after a long struggle with cancer.

Hear their words and join the Journey of Purpose…

I felt the same way when I saw it. I’ll be going back time and time again for reminders.

This was a beautiful video especially listening to Randy Pauch who was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University where our son graduated . His book that he wrote was an emotional journey of his diagnosis and prognosis. It is a well worth read for inspiration, and fortitude in the face of crises. The others Steve Jobs, Will Smith, and Stuart the brave newscaster were inspirational to listen to also. Thanks for sending it.
