One Mountain Away: The Book Trailer

I’m so delighted to be able to share the new video my son created so that I could introduce my readers to One Mountain Away.

Several months ago we played with ideas and got as far as filming, but the script was much too long.  So I reworked it, and Galen produced this to go with it, instead. Many of the photos are his own work.

I hope we’ve done exactly what we intended, which is to give you a feel for the extraordinary scenery of Charlotte’s life and a little about the conflicts she faces.  Asheville and the surrounding area are so wonderful, I want you to picture them as you read the novel.

Love the video. My family is from the Asheville area and your son captured the beauty of the NC mountains. As always, your words were just right. Love your books and am looking forward to reading One Mountain Away. I get so attached to your characters that I miss them when I finish your books! Sure would like to see a new VA Quilt book!!! We have started our third year at Lib’s Place in Rice VA. Having fun quilting and crafting. Have met so many wonderful folks. Thanks for coming to our store-it was an honor to meet you. Best wishes for your new book. Louisa

This video is a perfect introduction to One Mountain Away. Your idea to capture the beauty of North Carolina’s mountains will enhance reading your first book in the series. My great aunts ‘summered’ in the area…writing poetry, weaving baskets, and gardening. Their story and my heritage is invaluable. Thank you for writing Charlott’s story in Asheville.

Thanks to everybody for your comments. It was so much fun to introduce my readers to Asheville through the story and now through the video.

I love this video, it’s so well done. I love this area, a vacation favorite of ours, as well. I love your books, the people are so real, and the happenings so universal. Keep them coming, I look forward to many more. Thank you.

finished reading “One Mountain Away” last night. It is a very heart grabbing story. I did not see this video until this morning. It is very much what I pictured while reading this book. In West Virginia we have beautiful surroundings just like North Carloinia.

What a fantastic video … a perfect introduction to the series. I finished One Mountain Away in two days and then was bummed that I have to wait a whole year before the next book in the series. At least I have your blogs to read. Thanks for the really wonderful story.
