“Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.” -Helen Keller

I can’t help it, I cry every time I see this Hospital Window video. This brief story encapsulates what it means to have a friend and to be a friend.

So often we take our friendships for granted, but there is little in life that is as important as someone who will walk with you in the dark.

Who walks with you?

You always have such good food for thought.

Emilie, thanks for another outstanding inspirational Sunday. I have seen the video a number of times and it always gets to me. As for “who walks with me,” I like to think it’s the little winged, haloed (is that a word?) angel that perches on my right shoulder. But I know for a fact that the little devil perched on my left shoulder prods me a times! Have a wonderful week.

That little devil gets around, doesn’t he/she?

Thank you, Emilie! I have read the story, but I’ve never seen the video. It was very touching and brought tears. The friend who always walks with me is God, of course. However, I am very fortunate to have several earthly friends who have walked me through the dark times throughout my life, and I’m eternally grateful for them.
