I will practice patience and kindness toward our weather gurus. I have cancelled and rescheduled errands and events all week in anticipation of torrential downpours and street flooding. I describe what we have had as “light” showers, for which I am thankful. Yet, I don’t have to look very long to realize that I have nothing to complain about.

I took an older lady to church and walked our beagle 2 miles today. So thankful for everything God gives me.

I know both will appreciate your efforts. My beagle walked me a mile and a half this morning.

I like this quote. Makes one stop and think sometimes. I have learned to bite my tongue, rather than pointing out someone else’s lack of manners and giggling like a school girl.

Kindness today? I helped a friend unpack her kitchen dishes and pots and put them away. Actually we had an “unpacking party” since she had just moved in. A few of us got together – someone brought hot coffee, someone else muffins and the rest brought laughter and conversation.

We had her kitchen up and running in no time at all!

I like this. Sometimes we don’t think that what we just assume everyone would do is actually kindness in action. But not everyone would find the time, and your reward is obvious, great moments with friends.
