Spring Break
Some weeks lend themselves to saying very little on the blog.
My youngest son and oldest grandson are visiting on spring break, and I’m having so much fun with them. Nothing beats catching up with family, and spring is SW Florida’s busiest time of year. Yesterday we stood in line for 30″ just to buy ice cream cones at our favorite orange grove. My grandson was determined we would get one if we had to stand in line all day long. He was only five last time we bought him an ice cream cone at the grove, but he remembers what matters.
I have learned a few things. So far our son discovered that our outdoor kitchen is almost state of the art and includes a rotisserie. Chicken was on our menu. Who knew? As our first grader whizzes through the Stink books, reading to me for a change, I’ve learned about a boy named Stink. I also remember fondly why I only wrote when my children were in school or in bed.
So that’s my week. I hope yours has been just as much fun. Sometimes it’s good to simply be grateful for all the good things in life and have nothing else to say.
You enjoy a spring break, too, if you can. I recommend it.

This is just lovely and delightful. Thanks for sharing.
We went to Tarpon Springs yesterday with our visiting friends. What a fun and interesting Greek community. I learned a lot about the sponges and ate great food.
Spring breaks are fun! I’m having mine next week at “Club Novant!” I’ll be in the hospital for 3+ days having surgery. Wish me luck!
Spring break is amazing!
