Sunday Inspiration: Why?

Why?“I believe every child is born with the Why Chromosome, which pushes us to ask questions about the nature of the universe. And as we grow older those questions become deeper and deeper. As a child the word why was certainly a provocative part of my vocabulary. But throughout my younger life — in church, at home, in school — the curiosity that kept pushing that question to the forefront was discouraged. I learned that Why was a question for rebels and trouble-makers.

“Asking why is a lifelong journey, a never-ending adventure in which we uncover, one by one, answers that lead to more questions until the day we die. Asking the big questions and the quest to answer them is a spiritual journey that deepens our lives immeasurably.” –from Why? Life’s Seven Biggest Questions by Michael McGee

Guess what: I’m not the only author in our family. In fact, my husband, Michael McGee — who I refer to here as Proman because he’s our family project manager — wrote 40 years of sermons before he retired,  as well as more than a few since.

Now Michael’s written a book in which he’s pulled together some of his most inspirational ideas and deepest principles. I’m so proud of him that I wanted to tell you that his book is now in print. Why? Life’s Seven Biggest Questions by Michael McGee is available as both an ebook and a paperback at Amazon.

There’s a lot to think about in Michael’s book, especially if you’re searching for your own answers. He shares his own journey, and if you’re on one, too, you’ll enjoy traveling with him. I did and I do.

I was also born with the word why ready to be spoken. I am at a point in my life journey where I feel the word constantly. Timing is amazing. My need meets your husbands book. Thank you.
