Sunday Inspiration: Welcome Spring!

Welcome spring

“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.” -Pablo Neruda

Spring has sprung here in Asheville — daffodils, tulips, and cherry trees are blooming — and I hope that you are least well on your way to the warmth and vitality of this season.

It’s true that you cannot keep spring from coming no matter how long and cold the winter may be. At this time of year I can’t help but feel an inner springtime, a burst of energy, creativity and hope.

I hope your inner springtime blooms and flourishes as well.

I didn’t realize that you lived up the road from me in Asheville. Spring has really come early this year in SC. If you need to see some pink cotton candy take a drive on Hwy. 11 passing Strawberry Hill. The peach trees are in full bloom right now and do not look real. You can even stop and have breakfast or lunch at Strawberry Hill. There strawberries should be coming in now. Gosh, I sound like an advertisement. But it is an easy drive from Asheville. Straight up I 26 and 2nd exit in SC. Take a left and 10 miles down the road. Hope all is well.
