May we remember and honor today and every day all the heroes in our lives, those who have fought bravely for our country and those who have protected and nurtured it with their devotion and sacrifice.

It is rather sad to think that this official holiday doesn’t seem to take the time to remember those who gave their all in defense of our country. Instead it has devolved in the rush to make summer arrive with travel and picnics. Please take the time, just a few seconds, now and Nov. 11 to remember those who are no longer with us
