Thank you for sharing this, Emilie. I lost a dear friend on Friday. She went to bed with a headache Thursday and didn’t wake up. She was a vibrant and busy woman doing the things she loved to do. She was a major part of my dog world. We are all stunned and I. Shock. I guess we all need time.
Aneurism??? I lost a friend, two sister-in-laws and also a neighbor that way. Always a shock because there is so little warning. Some thoughts are that it saved them from suffering terribly in another way, but still hard!
So right! How we lived, not what we leave behind, who we impressed, etc! It is nice, however, to feel we have somehow left people better off for knowing us, made an impact somewhere, and maybe left something that will help those we love’s lives easier.
That is a lovely quote. My husband is a Star Trek Fan and would like to know what episode that is from.
