“We think it is the big moments that define our lives —
the wedding, the baby, the new house, the dream job.
But really these big moments of happiness
are just the punctuation marks.
The narrative is written every day
in the small and simple.”
-Sarah Ban Breathnach
Exactly!
When I have some eggnog during the night, I smile and think of my brother Joe (who loved it as much as I do) and how he’d let me know as soon as the grocery had some in stock! He’d even deliver a half-gallon with my name on it sometimes. And special memories pop up with my brother Michael and my Dad, who also have passed. It takes some time to go from sadness to heartwarming but you get there. And you treasure them.
Yes!
True, and yet these are the moments we tend to forget about so quickly. How sad.
