Sunday Inspiration: The natural world

The natural world

“It seems to me
that the natural world
is the great source of excitement;
the greatest source of visual beauty;
the greatest source of intellectual interest.
It is the greatest source
of so much in life
that makes life worth living.”

– David Attenborough

Of all the places you’ve been or lived, what one example of the “natural world” immediately comes to mind? Can you picture it now, even if you’re far away? I’m thinking of an evening on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida, where rain was falling in the distance, a double rainbow formed as the sun set, and dolphins played right off shore. I can see it still.

And happy 100th birthday to the great David Attenborough.

    Oh I agree! Last spring and summer I missed so much of the outdoors that I made a vow to stop and make sure I take it in every day. Even if it’s just for a few minutes I appreciate the sunrise and the fresh grass and the new roses just blooming.

    Hawaii comes to mind – you can tell you’re in Hawaii the minute you step out of the plane!
