Sunday Inspiration: Fasting for Lent

Fasting for Lent

DO YOU WANT TO FAST THIS LENT?

• Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
• Fast from sadness and be filled with
gratitude.
• Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
• Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
• Fast from worries and have trust in God.
• Fast from complaints and contemplate
simplicity.
• Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
• Fast from bitterness and fill your hearts with
joy.
• Fast from selfishness and be compassionate
to others.
• Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
• Fast from words and be silent so you can listen

The Celtic Christian Tradition attributes this to Pope Francis, but it’s really not clear who first said it. We just know this, somebody gave us a lot to think about at this time of year.

Beautiful words. May many of us around the world hold these close to our hearts.

Oh how I love this!!! I would love to find this on a poster! Growing up Catholic, fasting is not new to me. This, however, will certainly multiply the impact!
