Sunday Inspiration: Falling Down

Today is a new day. You will get out of it just what you put into it… If you have made mistakes, even serious mistakes, there is always another chance for you. And supposing you have tried and failed again and again, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford

Do you feel like a failure?  All of us do from time to time since none of us are perfect.  To be human is to fail frequently.  But as Mary Pickford reminded us, there’s nothing wrong with falling down as long as you get up from wherever you landed, dust yourself off, and get back in the race.  That is truly the secret of success.

That is a great lesson in life today – my weeks discussion with my husband was about the cup being half empty or half full ? Which is yours ? Mine this week is going to be half full No matter what !!

I work hard on the “half-full” front. It’s not always easy and I’m not always successful, but it’s a worthwhile struggle. Let me know how you do.

Such a good reminder! It would be easy to stay down, but then what would be the challenge, the excitement, or the lesson in it all?

I think I’m going to share this with a co-worker who had a really bad day last Friday.

I think things like this go in cycles…you can be on a roll…and doing just great..then bam! Down you go….so..it is a continuing thing…definitley not stagnant…and I think..no matter how hard some things become..or seem…they too have a cycle..the trick..is seeing these cycles..so.you don’t lose your mind!!! Not always easy..for sure..but it is “doable”…..
