Questions, Answers and Giveaways

I’ve really enjoyed your responses to my new website. Lots of you have entered the Celebration Giveaway and commented as you did on what you appreciated most. In particular many of you enjoy the ease of navigation, the colors and photos we used on the home page, the book section, and how easy it makes it to both find books in series and to click on relevant bookstore links to buy them.

A librarian, among others, thanked me for the printable booklist because now she can easily print and hand a copy to library patrons who want to read all my novels. And some of you shared a little about your own visits to the Biltmore estate, where my photo was taken.

So while you now know more about me because of the new website, I know more about you from your answers. That only seems fair, right?

There were questions, too.

Several of you wanted to know if I have any booksignings scheduled in the near future. The answer is not right now. Publishers aren’t doing as many book tours for their authors, and this author doesn’t schedule her own because she is too busy writing. The moment one appears on my calendar, though, I’ll be sure to list it under “Events” under “News and Events” at the top. I love talking to my readers in person.

A frequent question was whether I intend to do any additional books in the Shenandoah Album series.

As many of you know, my publisher asked me to move on to other books before the series was completed. You also know that while I respect my publisher, we don’t always agree. So I’m delighted to say you have something to look forward to in the future, and I’ve been working hard to make it happen.

Please stay tuned–and if you’re not on my monthly newsletter list, sign up here on my website on the left side of almost any page, because that’s where I’ll first share news and special content, as well. Not right away, but soon.

Finally a reader asked if my books are available in the UK. They are, but I don’t know how widely, so spread the word if you feel so inclined. She also asked if the UK is included in my giveaways. Definitely in this one, since I didn’t limit it in any way. Sometimes I may need to because of the price of postage, but I wanted to share this one with all my readers.

If you visit my News and Events tab, you’ll see an exciting announcement. Pop over to see, and I’ll blog on that very soon.

The Celebration Giveaway continues through May 15th, so if you haven’t entered, you still have time. I’ll enjoy reading your comments.
