Northern Exposure?
Northern Exposure instead of Southern? Yep, this is packing week for our trip north. I’ll blog again once I’ve settled in. But I’m really looking forward to seeing family and friends, including the Brainstormers, who will visit for a few days in June.
Here’s a friendly reminder from a sign that I enjoy around the corner from our summer cottage. Can’t wait to see it again and follow its advice.

Have a safe trip! Enjoy your family and friends. I hope to see my niece this summer, but she and her family live in Denmark right now, and vaccine is not available there yet. So hard to believe we are wasting doses here as they go unused, and other countries still can’t get enough. My niece and family plan to come back to DC, where they are legal residents and homeowners, just to get vaccinated—and so many here won’t bother! I enjoyed the freedom of being fully vaccinated on Sunday when a family of three I have informally adopted as family came for the day. All fully vaccinated so was wonderful!
Enjoy the summer in the relative freedom of movement we now have. Who knew at the onset that it would be this long before we felt some safety in numbers. I am still going to wear my mask when in a crowd of people because no one of us wears a sign saying we’ve been protected – or not. Be safe – mask up.
